In our work together, we will not look at what is 'wrong' with you, rather what has happened in your life and where you want to go from here. My goal is to help you find meaningful ways to be in the present.

I welcome all gender and sexual identities, all bodies and presentations as well as kink and alternative relationship styles. As a member of the queer community I understand how important it is to have a therapeutic space that affirms my identity. In my work I strive to be a safe place for all folx and especially so for those of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and other marginalized groups who are impacted by historical, systemic and structural oppression. I am devoted to being a life long learner and also acknowledging that as a human I cannot know everything. For those unknowns that come up, I am committed to doing my own research.

No hate speech will be tolerated in my practice.

My Approach
People seek therapy for a wide variety reasons which could range from having a specific issue to address, to a general feeling of needing “something” to change. Whatever the reason, I respect that everyone wants/needs unique things from their therapeutic experience.

I provide individual therapeutic services for adults 18 and older. In session I am welcoming, open-minded, culturally sensitive, trauma informed, non-stigmatizing, and intuitive. I do not believe there is a “one size fits all” therapeutic method to use and some people respond better to specific modalities depending on many factors (personal beliefs, culture, trauma etc.).
My Holistic and Humanistic training informs my belief that people are not their problems. This means looking at the whole person rather than just the symptom(s) and framing treatment in terms of wellness rather than illness. This also means examining and holding space for how the intersections of a person's identities may be additionally impacted/burdened by the current systems of oppression such as racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, ableism, classism, generational trauma, colonialism and ageism.

When I meet you for the first time, I will be curious to learn how you came to be where you are now and what dynamics influenced you and your current beliefs. I see you as whole and worthy just as you are.
With the work we do, I believe in offering choices/perspectives while also asking for and receiving consent within all aspects of the process. I view my role as supporting you with what resonates most. This means that you decide what your comfort levels are and are in charge of navigating the direction and speed of the work.
Sessions will be informed by an assortment of techniques and methods depending on the specific needs of each client. I have had the opportunity to be trained in a variety of modalities and as clinically appropriate draw from different perspectives:

As your therapist I will provide a safe space to be curious about your barriers to connection. We will use your inner wisdom to guide your growth. To ensure that therapy is both effective and meaningful it is important to construct our treatment goals together. I want to work collaboratively with you at all times and I am always open to your questions, call outs/ins and feedback. We share responsibility for the outcome of therapy.
